With Mexican ladies
It’s his first serious job that he has really got since the the time his feet step on US. He got it after nearly a month his resumes and applications were sent everywhere hopelessly. Thank God.
With his friend’s help, he had 2 consecutive appointments in 1 day, so amazing. He went to the latter just 1 hour after another which had appeared to get a positive result. Kind of strange, he had been interviewed by the interviewer just minutes before the employer called him to come back to ask for more detail. Both happened in totally 2 and 1/2 hour. His background impressed the employer, though he had some trouble with the resume. But they made an appointment for unpaid training which will last about a week in the next morning.
Right at the time appointed, he showed up, only ate up a half of his breakfast (the rest was consumed as lunch at 3:00) Was coming to be the one who would take care for computer problems, data entry (and had been forced to make an agreement to do a lot of nameless this and that stuffs which didn’t relate to his position) he was trained exactly the same all functions of cashier.
It turned out to be pretty boring. His co-workers were not as hard-working, smart or fast as in his mind. Everything moved on slowly with very basic knowledge and skills. He felt it was a waste of time and wished to push things faster so he might get some money early. He believed he would pass the test next monday or so.
Anyway, there were some principles that made him decide that job is endurable: First, there were many Mexican so he had a chance to practice his English which were being worn day by day. Second, it tended to be pretty easier to compare with the other (cashier, assembly, waiter, …). And it was the only he had this time.
Good luck to him, make some money to do what you want. God by your side
